Hearing Aid Maintenance and Servicing

Hearing Aid Maintenance and Servicing

Maintaining and servicing hearing aids is crucial for ensuring their optimal performance and longevity.
At South Coast Hearing Solutions, we understand the importance of keeping your hearing aids in top condition. Proper maintenance and regular servicing not only extend the life of your hearing aids but also ensure they function effectively, providing you with the best possible hearing experience.
  1. Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to gently wipe your hearing aids every day. Avoid water, solvents, or cleaning agents, which can damage the device.
  2. Wax Removal: Earwax can accumulate and clog the microphone and receiver. Use a cleaning tool provided by your Audiometrist to carefully remove any wax.
  3. Moisture Control: Hearing aids are sensitive to moisture. Store them in a dry, cool place and consider using a hearing aid dehumidifier overnight.
  4. Battery Care: Replace batteries regularly. When not in use, turn off your hearing aids or open the battery compartment to prevent battery drain and corrosion.
